On the heels of hosting its 23rd Orientation Ceremony, the Dominica State College (DSC) presents a rebranded Freshers’ Week – SOAR, Student Orientation, and Registration activities from today, August 28 to September 1, 2023, marking the arrival of the 2025 Graduating Class. With more than 600 eager freshmen expected to join the DSC community, this week promises to equip learners with academic success resources and serve as a dynamic introduction to college life. The orientation is essential to the College’s commitment to providing new students a smooth transition into college life.
“Freshers’ Week is more than just an introduction to College life; it’s a time where learners can make friends, build confidence, and explore the diverse offerings of the Dominica State College. It’s a unique experience that brings together students from different backgrounds, cultures, and high schools, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. The week is filled with various events across Campus aimed at helping students familiarize themselves with our new surroundings while having a lot of fun. So, to all new students, seize this opportunity – make your Freshers’ Week 2023 one to remember,” said Monelle Alexis, Public Relations and Student Recruitment Officer, DSC.
